The retreat will be an opportunity for you to be in company with old friends or making new. If you prefer it will offer the chance to have some quiet time, space and reflection – it’s your choice, alongside a morning and evening programme of yoga, pranayama, meditation and celebration.
Typical Day at the Retreat
West Lexham offers plenty of space for a gathering of 40 yogis with two wonderful yoga teachers, Sunita Devi and Amy McDonald leading the retreat and two separate yoga spaces, a stunning converted barn with underfloor heating and a charming village hall with wooden floors and an open fire.
Arrival time on Monday 29 December 2025 is from 4pm and the first yoga class will be at 5.30pm. The retreat will finish after brunch on New Year’s day.
Each morning there will be a yoga class followed by a delicious breakfast with free time and lunch to follow. We will then meet again in the afternoon for another yoga practice. For each practice you will be able to choose between a more challenging dynamic practice or something more gentle and restorative, as you feel. Each evening there will be dinner followed by a candlelit meditation or sound bath.
For New Year’s Eve there will be a delicious celebratory dinner, celebrations and mulled wine around the bonfire.

The property is set around a lake, perfect for a walk or a New Year’s morning dip. Massage treatments will be on offer throughout the retreat. Or you can simply curl up in front of the fire with a good book.
