FACILITIES AT WEST LEXHAM
The West Lexham Garden Kitchen – our biodynamic garden supplies our onsite cafe with the best produce to cook and serve. Certified by the Soil Association for organic produce.
The Grounds – We have 22 acres of land for you to explore. The land here is criss-crossed by ley lines and we can point you to powerful energy spots. We are in rural nature with plentiful wildlife, flowers and foliage, there’s always something to see. Our lawn is the perfect space to play games, and picnics, or you can head across the river and get lost in amongst the trees.
The Lake – Our beautiful lake is fed by a chalk stream and makes the ideal setting for a lazy row in our boats, use of our paddleboards, or some wildlife spotting. It’s a popular choice for wild swimming, which is a unique and wonderful experience. There are steps into the water in front of the romantic Shell House. The lake is open year-round, and is enjoyed throughout the seasons by hardy swimmers.
The Pool – The outdoor pool is naturally filtered, meaning it is devoid of any harsh chemicals. It is heated by our biomass boiler, making it even more eco-friendly. This is open seasonally (May until October), so be sure to enjoy a swim under the sky when you can!

Paddleboarding– Enjoy a peaceful paddle around the lake, see if you can spot the carp as you glide alongside the wild swans.
Rowing– We have two rowing boats on the lake which guests are welcome to use. They’re the perfect place to while away a balmy day.
Fire Pits – Spend your evening underneath the stars, toasting marshmallows, and meeting like-minded guests.
The Sanctuary Garden – Located across the lake, the Sanctuary Garden is a restful space, perfect for meditation or yoga. With a magenta pagoda, plenty of seating, beautiful streams and stone dragons, it’s a wonderful place to relax and reflect.
Garden Wash House – The Japanese- inspired garden wash house has 5 individual bathrooms, each with it’s own individual style and beautiful tiling, fittings and underfloor heating. There are 4 showers and one bath and shower. This communal facility is regularly cleaned and is around 50m from the cabins and bell tents.
The Kitchen Garden Café – We are pleased to announce the reopening of our onsite Café. Open for breakfast from 8am and serving a selection of snacks throughout the day. Or why not end your day sat on our terrace enjoying the surroundings and our dinner offering served from 5pm. With specials changing regularly and produce grown from our own Kitchen Garden.
Defibrilator – We have a defibrillator sited at the center of the estate, next to the outdoor kitchen.
The Surrounding Area – West Lexham is surrounded by an area rich in historical interest with its 10th century church and the gem of Castle Acre just down the road. Norfolk is rightly famous for it’s beaches and a short drive will take you to the coast where you can explore the hugely varied coastline. The area is noted for farming and you can try artisanal delicacies from the region in the farmers markets, fine dining tasting menus and cosy country pubs.
