About Will Wheeler
Discovering yoga and movement while training to be an actor gave Will a connection to mind and body that felt so good he wanted to feel it again and again.
He has studied with numerous teachers and at present, he is learning more about the Jivamukti yoga method, which follows a vinyasa-ashtanga style movement sequence, but elements of breath work, philosophy, spirituality, meditation and chanting all play a role in a Jivamukti class.
When Will leads a class, he likes to offer a fun, accessible and enjoyable experience. He is passionate about vinyasa flow and restorative yoga and wants everyone to enjoy it as much as he does.
About Mona Lisa Godfrey
Mona Godfrey (RYT E-500) teaches Vinyasa (flow), in which postures are mindfully synchronized to the breath in order to form a continuous and smooth flow. Her classes are challenging, mindful and grounding – with a strong emphasis or pranayama, energy and yogic philosophy.
Mona discovered yoga in her early 20s and is passionate about utilising the ancient wisdoms of yoga and meditation as a platform to create meaningful change in our modern world. Originally from Riga in the former USSR, Mona relocated to Sweden with her family at the age of five. In her mid teens, she relocated once again to California. The constant movement of her childhood bred an unwavering draw to change and an insatiable hunger for different cultures, exploration and travel. She attributes her courage to follow her heart’s wild calling to the power of the practice. Mona is currently residing in London, where she leads group classes, workshops, teacher trainings and retreats.
About the retreat
We are very excited to return to the fabulous West Lexham Manor in Norfolk, the ideal location for a New Year Yoga Retreat. So we are back once again for a 7th year to celebrate another New Year in idyllic surroundings with great teachers offering: yoga, meditation, pranayama, fun, celebration and happy times.
Also on offer are beautiful countryside walks, delicious wholesome food, fireside chats, party games, new friends and the space to just be. Holkham and Brancaster beaches are half an hour drive away for those wanting some sea air.
Book early to make sure you can join us in our new year celebration of love, life and friendship. Come on your own or with your friends, either way you’re guaranteed to have a great time and begin 2020 with a clear mind, an open heart and a rejuvenated spirit…what better way to start the year!
This retreat will be an opportunity for you to be in company with old friends or making new. Or if you prefer it will offer the chance to have some quiet time, space and reflection. Your choice, alongside a morning and evening programme of yoga, pranayama, meditation and much fun and celebration.
Between two yoga teachers and two yoga spaces there will be a group of around 40 yogis to share this celebration. Each morning there will be a yoga class followed by a delicious breakfast with free time and lunch to follow. We will then meet again in the afternoon for another yoga practice. For each practice you will be able to choose between a more challenging dynamic practice or something more gentle and restorative, as you feel.
There will be a delicious celebratory dinner on New Year’s Eve, a bonfire and celebrations.
Between classes there will be time for walks, trips to the beach, massage treatments or the space and time to simply hang out with a good book or chat and make new friends by the fireside. We will be one big family creating a new year to remember.
Three delicious vegetarian meals each day and a celebratory New Year’s eve dinner
